Charity Donation Day at Westgate Fitness!

Our  Charity Triathlons and Duathlons came to an end. Thanks to the support of almost 80 members and non - members we were able to raise exactly 1200 Euros in aid of Drogheda Hospice Homecare in Drogheda.

On Friday the 5th of July we met representatives of Drogheda Hospice Homecare to hand over our raised money in order to help in day to day operations of Drogheda Hospice Homecare. The raised money would be mostly needed in areas like: transportation costs, electricity and heating. During our short meeting we already agreed on September event to support again needs of Drogheda Hospice.  Here you can view some of the pictures taken on the day;

 Liz and Aidan Mc Hughs joined old Westgate Fitness in Donaghy’s Mill in 1996. Since that time, they have been seen every day in our gym. Their main area of interest will be cardio, stretching, circuit training and general fitness. When asked about our gym, they proudly say - We love it, it is a serious gym for serious people,  you do have everything here what you need to stay fit! Apart from that, they like it because of social aspect of Westgate Fitness. They say, it is a local gym for Drogheda people, and they know most of the members in Westgate. We wish both of them further successes!

Among many hobbies, Phil’s passion for sport can be described as just amazing! Former captain of the Irish Wodo Karate Team, now enjoys workouts in our gym. With 27 years of training Philip is holding 4th Dan in Wodo Karate, 3rd place in European Karate Championship and many other trophies.
